Unveiling Newly-Redecorated QC Chinatown in Banawe on Chinese New Year Celebration

To welcome the Chinese New Year, the Quezon City government will host a grand celebration in Banawe - the city’s vibrant Chinatown.  The event highlights the city's commitment to promoting local tourism, offering visitors a unique blend of history, culture, and modern attractions.  An exciting and colorful array of activities will take place on Wednesday, January 29. The festivities will kick off in the morning with a Dance Fit session, followed by a Ribbon Cutting to be led by Mayor Joy Belmonte , marking the official launch of the redesigned  City Chinatown—enhancing the area’s visibility as a key cultural, tourism, and commercial hub. About fifty food and non-food businesses featuring QC’s artisanal delights as well as a gallery showcasing a wishing tree, a 360 Photobooth, and predictions to expect this Year of the Wood-Snake will be featured along Banawe, from Del Monte Avenue to Scout Alcaraz Street.
